A NOTE FROM THE CEO

Overview of the year 2023 by the CEO.

Jean-Paul DUPARC

Chief Executive Officer

IN A YEAR DISRUPTED BY THE SHORTAGE OF SEMICONDUCTORS AND LOGISTICAL ISSUES, THE BANQUE STELLANTIS FRANCE GROUP WAS ABLE TO GENERATE OVER €450 MILLION IN OPERATING INCOME, UP BY MORE THAN 9% ON 2021.

A turnover maintained despite a tense environment

In 2022, with just under 1.9 million vehicles, the French market for all-brand registrations fell by nearly 10% compared to 2021. The market share of the brands Peugeot, Citroën lost one point, respectively, to 16.3% and 9.9%. The DS brand remains stable with 1.1% market share.

In this context, Banque Stellantis France has focused on supporting the strategy of each of the three brands, particularly in the context of the energy transition.

The increase in our intervention rate from almost two points to 35.7% on new vehicles, the improvement in our performance on used vehicles and the increase in unit financing have enabled us to generate a turnover comparable to that achieved in 2021 at more than 4.6 billion euros

Despite good management, the gross margin is impaired on new financing

For the fifth consecutive year, the intervention rate increased on the two types of clienteles: individuals and businesses:

  • 63.2% of the deliveries to individual customers for the three Stellantis brands are financed by Credipar, this figure is even exceeded for electrified vehicles;
  • performance on companies improved by 3.2 points to a historic level of 37.7%.

The cost of risk has once again been extremely well controlled, for the end customers as well as for the distribution networks of the three brands.

Despite a diversified refinancing policy, Banque Stellantis France underwent a historical change in its financing cost in the second part of the year, due to its magnitude and the speed of the increase. Unfortunately, this increase could not be fully passed on to our customers, altering the gross margin on new financing. Finally, let us note once again the excellent investment performance on our insurance products, a guarantee of a very valuable customer protection in order to satisfy them and keep on the long road the group's brands.

PSA Banque France has become Banque Stellantis France since 4 April

On 4 April 2023, as part of the reorganization of the current European configuration of Stellantis financing activities, the new entity "Banque Stellantis France" replaced groupe PSA Banque France, its scope of intervention expanding by becoming the financial center for all Stellantis brands distributed in France for all types of customers, except for the long-term rental for businesses.
